Riley is the name that signs every review and guide on Casiloon. It is a pen name, and we would rather say so on the first line than let you guess. There is no invented face, no borrowed biography and no list of titles behind it.

What the name stands for is easier to check than any portrait: one method, applied the same way on every page, by an editor who answers for every line that goes online.

One signature for one method

A comparison site lives or dies on consistency. If casinos were rated three different ways, a 7.5 on one page would not mean the same thing as a 7.5 on another. Signing everything as Riley keeps the attention on the method rather than on who happened to write a given review.

You will not find a smiling stock photo next to the name either. Review sites that dress a pen name up with a borrowed face and a made-up career are asking readers to trust a person who does not exist. We prefer to ask for trust in something you can verify: every claim in a Casiloon review points to a register entry, a published standard or a clause in the casino’s own terms.

The signature also carries the responsibility. When a page is wrong, there is no colleague to blame: it is Riley’s page, and Riley fixes it.

What Riley does before a review goes live

The work happens in the same order every time. The criteria themselves are explained separately, along with the criteria behind each casino rating; here is the routine that applies them:

  1. 1

    Register first

The casino’s exact web address is looked up in the official list of the province. No match, no review.

  2. 2

    Documents saved

Terms, payments page, responsible gambling page and help articles are read in full and saved with the date they were read.

  3. 3

    Marks justified

Each part of the score is written next to the clause or page that supports it, so any reader can retrace it.

  4. 4

    Second read

The draft is checked line by line against the saved documents before it goes live. Anything that cannot be confirmed is removed or flagged.

  5. 5

    Kept current

Within six months the review gets a complete second pass, earlier if the terms or the register change.

Where Riley’s know-how comes from

The person behind the signature has spent several years producing content for licensed online casinos and comparison sites in Europe, in markets where licences, identity checks and advertising are tightly controlled. That work is the reason Casiloon reads terms and conditions line by line instead of relaying promotional pages.

For Canada, that experience is applied to the rules of each province: the AGCO standards and the iGaming Ontario directory, the AGLC framework and the Alberta iGaming Corporation list. Riley follows the updates those bodies publish, including the penalties the AGCO announces against operators, and changes the reviews when the rules move.

If a casino we have worked with in another country ever enters Ontario or Alberta, its review will state that link in its first lines.

Commitments Riley keeps on every page

  • Only casinos listed by Ontario or Alberta are covered, and the listing is checked again before every update.
  • No invented play sessions: every figure comes from a document you can open yourself.
  • No welcome offers or promo codes, in line with the advertising rules of both provinces.
  • No payment or gift accepted in exchange for coverage, a position or a verdict.
  • Every change to a review is dated at the top of the page.

Casiloon earns affiliate commissions on some links, a point covered in full on the page about who runs Casiloon and how it is funded. Those commissions pay for the time spent reading terms. They do not decide what Riley writes.

Pages signed by Riley

Every page listed here carries Riley’s signature and its own update date. New reviews join the list as they are published, starting with the casinos available in Ontario. Each card shows the type of page and its last update, so you can tell at a glance which ones were refreshed recently.

When a reader proves Riley wrong

Readers often see a change before we do: a new withdrawal cap, a payment method dropped, a help article rewritten. If you spot one, use the contact form and name the page and the detail. Riley checks it against the source, fixes the review and writes back once it is done. Casinos that ask for an edit go through the same door and need the same thing: a document, not a request.

To see that work applied, browse the online casinos we compare across Canada, all of them registered in the province they serve.
